Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are outside food and drinks allowed?

A: We ask that outside food not be brought into the Faire grounds except as needed for medical or allergy reasons. Per venue policy, coolers are not allowed except for medically necessary food or medical supplies. The venue reserves the right to search coolers for contraband. Water and water bottles may be brought in from outside. No glass containers, please.

Q: Will alcohol be available?

A: Yes! The venue will be serving alcohol.

Q: What happens if it rains?

A: The show will go on, rain or shine! This is an outdoor event, and weather may or may not cooperate. In the event of a tornado warning, natural disaster, or other circumstances beyond our control, the Omaha Potter Faire may be rescheduled. In the event of a reschedule, some entertainment or features may be canceled or changed.

Q: How can I be a vendor at the Potter Faire?

A: Vendor information is available here.

Q: May I bring my props/weapons?

A: Props, including weapons, are allowed, with some limitations. Real and imitation firearms do not have a place at the Potter Faire. On arrival, bladed weapons must be secured by our staff using zip ties, so that they cannot be withdrawn from their scabbard or sheath. Brandishing, waving, or threatening other attendees with prop weapons is strictly prohibited. Wands may be freely carried, brandished, and waved.

Q: Does the Faire have any rules attendees should know about?

A: Yes. Please see our Code of Conduct.

Q: If I leave the Faire, can I re-enter?

A: Yes! So long as you do not remove your event wristband, unlimited reentry is permitted for the entire day of the Faire. Weekend and VIP Tickets include a wearable badge granting unlimited reentry during Faire hours for the entire weekend.

Q: Is the Omaha Potter Faire pet-friendly?

A: Yes! Well-behaved pets are welcome in the outdoor areas of the Omaha Potter Faire. Please clean up after your pets. Animals which present a public danger or nuisance will be asked to leave, at the sole discretion of the organizers of the Omaha Potter Faire and the management of the Bellevue Berry and Pumpkin Ranch. You are responsible for the behavior of your pets. All animals must be leashed and attended at all times.

Q: Do I have to dress up?

A: That’s up to you! The dress code is simple; if you are sufficiently covered so as to satisfy the law, you are welcome at the Omaha Potter Faire. However, displaying offensive words or hate symbols is strictly prohibited.

Q: Why are VIP Ticket sales limited?

A: VIP Tickets allow use of the VIP line; we want to make sure that line moves quickly. VIP packages are also logistically complicated to assemble. Each is comprised of several items sourced from different places, some of which are difficult to purchase in bulk. We have to ensure that we can obtain all of the promised items, package and transport them to the Faire, and deliver them to VIP Ticket holders as they check in.
