Full Statement

We have received hundreds of emails, comments, and Facebook messages asking about the status of the Omaha Potter Faire due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The following policies will be in effect for the event in June:

-If you have a fever, suspect that you are ill, or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or shows any symptoms of COVID-19 in the two weeks before the show, PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND. All unused tickets for the 2023 Omaha Potter Faire will be honored at the 2024 event. Vendors who are unable to attend for health and safety reasons will have their reservations rolled over to 2024 without penalty. If you are in a vulnerable category for the virus, or live with someone who is, PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND unless you have been vaccinated and feel safe in public spaces.
-Vendors will be asked to make hand sanitizer available for the use of patrons inspecting their merchandise. We ask that attendees sanitize their hands before touching any merchandise, to help prevent the spread of the virus. Hand sanitizer will be provided to vendors on request.
-Any vendor offering food or beverage, and all staff working for said vendor, will be required to wear masks and gloves fit for foodservice. Utensils and straws must be individually wrapped. All health department laws and guidelines will be strictly observed.

Ticket Guarantee Policy
If you are unable to attend Omaha Potter Faire 2023, your ticket will be automatically rolled over to the 2024 event, without penalty. All tickets purchased in advance will be honored, no questions asked. If you have an unused ticket from the 2020, 2021, or 2022 Faires, simply tell us at the gate and we will be able to scan it with the correct device.

It is our belief, and our policy, that no person who may have an active COVID-19 case should be penalized for being responsible and staying home. This extends not only to attendees, but also to vendors, staff, and performers. Furthermore, our staff members and performers are not expected to endanger themselves for the sake of entertainment; all have been told that if they are in a vulnerable category for the virus, or live with someone who is, we would prefer that they stay home and stay safe.

If you have any questions or concerns, please send us an email or message the Facebook Page – we will do our best to respond in a timely fashion.
