Code of Conduct

The Omaha Potter Faire is an all-ages event, and we ask all attendees, vendors, and staff to abide by the same code of conduct.

Please smoke only in the designated smoking area. It will be set well away from food, drink, and children’s activities.

Outside alcohol is not permitted on the Faire grounds. The venue will be serving alcohol responsibly throughout the day.

Any drug use or unlawful possession of controlled substances will result in immediate ejection.

Please avoid excessive, unwarranted profanity. We may all slip up a bit from time to time, but cursing in front of children is, at best, in poor taste.

Displaying, distributing, or offering for sale lewd or pornographic materials is strictly prohibited on the Faire grounds.

Adult-oriented materials that are not lewd or pornographic should not be openly displayed. This includes wearing shirts or hats with profanity, or vendors selling merchandise containing profanity. Such merchandise may be offered for sale, but may not be displayed where it may be viewed by minors.

The dress code is simple; if you are sufficiently covered so as to satisfy the law, you are welcome at the Omaha Potter Faire. However, displaying offensive words or hate symbols is strictly prohibited.

Advertising or distributing literature during the Faire is strictly prohibited unless authorized in writing by the organizers of the Omaha Potter Faire.

Vendors and artists pay for their booth spaces; unauthorized sales are unfair to paid vendors, and are strictly prohibited. If you would like to sell merchandise at the Faire, please fill out the vendor application form here.

The organizers of the Omaha Potter Faire reserve the right to remove any person or persons violating the code of conduct, without refund.

Harassment Policy

The Omaha Potter Faire and its organizers, the Nerd Empowerment Society and Omaha Nerd Society, maintain a zero-tolerance policy for hate speech, harassment, and threatening behavior.

Discrimination based on race, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry, age, disability, religion, marital status, or appearance will not be tolerated.

If you experience harassing or threatening behavior, please inform any staff member, and they will escort you to safety/operations. Your safety is our primary concern. Any incident of harassment will be fully investigated and action will be taken.

ADA Statement

The Omaha Potter Faire is committed to upholding the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The outdoor layout has been designed with mobility devices in mind. If you have any questions or require any reasonable accommodation to ensure you may fully enjoy the Omaha Potter Faire, please contact us through email: contact@Omahapotterfaire.com

We respectfully request that accommodations intended for attendees with disabilities be reserved for use by those who require them. We also ask attendees to make note of the fact that not all disabilities are visible or obvious. If someone makes use of a reserved parking stall or uses an ADA restroom, please be courteous and operate under the assumption that they require use of reserved facilities. Inquiring about or questioning someone’s disability or medical history is rude and may constitute harassment.

Sex Offender Zero-Tolerance Policy

The Omaha Potter Faire is a family-friendly event. Convicted sex offenders are not welcome at our event in any capacity. If it is discovered that any attendee, performer, staff member, or contractor has been convicted of any sexually-based offense, they will be removed from the event immediately, at the sole judgment and discretion of the organizers of the Omaha Potter Faire. By purchasing a ticket, you agree that neither you nor anyone you purchase a ticket for has, to your knowledge, been convicted of such an offense. If you have purchased a ticket in error, contact us by email for an immediate refund.
